Nancy Dolman Dead: Martin Short's Wife Dies


In fact, we all produce abnormal cells that are usually trapped and destroyed by our immune systems. But sometimes one gets through and manages to duplicate, and that's when you have trouble. Most cells are programmed to die eventually, but cancer cells are literally immortal.

One of my great uncles died from prostate cancer. After the first round of treatment when it reappeared, he didn't want to go through chemotherapy again. He said to us "this too is nature," meaning the cancer. He was a good man--I still miss him.
